An instruction guide showing 4 stress management techniques for your students.
Stress is becoming more and more common in our students – between assignments, after-school responsibilities, and family obligations it is easy for our students to feel pulled and stretched too thin. With stress in students climbing at an alarming rate, it is so important that we teach our students how to manage their stress.
Use this instructional guide to teach your students 4 different stress management techniques they can use at school or home!
Students will learn how to relieve stress using the following 4 techniques:
- Guided Imagery
- Progressive Muscle Relaxation
- Self-Soothing Senses
- Positive Affirmations.
Each page explains a different technique, provides step-by-step directions on how to perform the technique, and then a series of questions for students to answer after performing the technique.
This resource is great to incorporate into a self-management lesson during your Social-Emotional Learning block or as a small-group lesson for students who are struggling with stress. Once you have practiced the technique with your students, have them put it in their social-emotional folder to pull out next time they are feeling a bit overwhelmed or stressed.
