Bulletin Board for Student Work

Picture it … your classroom is ready. Pencils are sharpened, glue sticks are capped (for now!), and name tags are set. You gaze around your classroom with a smile on your face, anticipating the night when students and adults will come in to meet their teacher and get their supplies all set. That’s when you see it … a huge blank bulletin board that you forgot all about!

Fear not! Teach Starter has you covered. Hang these “student work coming soon” posters on your blank bulletin board to let everyone know that you have big plans for the school year, all while making your classroom look fully decorated!

Add a clothespin to each one, and you have a place to start adding each student’s work, showcasing their achievements and creativity. Best of all, this is one of those bulletin boards you can set up in the fall and keep up all year long. All you have to change out is whatever you’ve clipped to the board.

Even when you pull the student work down to send home or share with parents at a conference, these student work coming posters make it clear you’ll be adding something soon.

Why Display Student Work?

Need another reason to add a student work bulletin board? Consider this:

When we display our students’ work publically, they get a boost to their self-esteem, and there’s often an increase in student motivation. Display student work also creates a more positive classroom environment where it’s clear you are your students’ champion.

Not to mention — a bulletin board focused on student work also allows students to draw inspiration from their peers’ work!
