Building Self-Esteem and Identifying Identity Game

Our identity forms a massive part of teaching about social emotional learning with our students. Understanding and embracing one’s identity is pivotal in building self-esteem, a cornerstone of a child’s overall well-being.

This set of 24 fun scoot cards is the perfect addition to add to your list of resources aiding your social-emotional lessons. The download includes two different sets, which enables differentiation within your class. To prepare this resource, simply print one set of the task cards and cut them up, then print the correct number of recording sheets for your class size. Place the scoot cards around the room in visible spots, in numerical order encourage a smooth flow of student movement in the room.

How to Use the Resource This Building Self-Esteem Game

To play, students start in front of any task card. They read the card and respond to the corresponding number on their recording sheet. Once finished, move to the next card to answer accordingly until all 12 cards in the set chosen are complete. Use the back of the recording sheet to answer the bonus card, if desired.

In addition, you may like to just use one card a day as a morning warm-up to the day with your students.
