Use our Math Reference Sheet When Learning About Coordinate Graphing 

Are your students starting to explore the concept of coordinate graphing? For many students, this is a fresh and exciting math concept because it is a bit different than adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing. Students learn how to complete an input-output table based on a particular rule, find the ordered pairs, and plot points on a coordinate plane. These points can then be connected to form lines on the graph. With this resource, students will learn the steps to plot a point on a coordinate plane.

This basic understanding of coordinate graphing will help students as they enter middle school. Students will then begin to learn about more advanced topics, such as finding the slope of a line.

How to Make the Most of Your Coordinate Graphing Poster

1. Print the poster and display it in your classroom for students to reference when doing independent work.
