Popping Good Father’s Day Craft Template

Use this template to create a popcorn bucket full of special words within the popcorn pieces. Students complete prompts on each popcorn piece using a pen, color the pieces, cut out, and then glue the Father’s Day craft together.

The Father’s Day prompts include:

  • My Pop’s name is…
  • I love him because…
  • He is best at…
  • I love it when he…
  • He makes me happy when…
  • I want to be like him because..
  • Our best memory…
  • My Pop is terrible at…
  • I love to help him with…
  • I know he loves me because…
  • I wish I could buy him…

We’ve also included a few blank popcorn pieces for your students to write their special guy a personalized Father’s Day poem or note!

✂️ Give Them the (Safety) Scissors

This template makes for a bonus cutting skills activity, depending on your students’ ages and abilities.

With adult supervision, cutting skills help students work multiple muscle groups and their brains, plus:

  • strengthen finger and hand muscles
  • build dexterity and fine motor skills
  • improve hand-eye coordination
  • develop focus and attention.

And all of these skills are necessary to use a pencil and a fork; button a shirt and tie shoes; write, type and swipe.

Scissor skills are brain and muscle skills!
