Tips for Differentiation + Scaffolding

In addition to independent student work time, use the individual cards as an activity for:

  • Lesson warm-up
  • Lesson wrap-up
  • Fast finishers
  • Homework assignment
  • Whole-class review (via smartboard)

If there are students who need a bit of a challenge. Encourage them to write stories or draw pictures of how they celebrate the different holidays.

For students who may need some assistance with this activity, consider providing them with pictures, anchor charts, or sentence stems to spark discussion.
