What Will I Wear? Making Choices Based on Seasonal Characteristics

Using these fun worksheets, teach your young students to identify the importance of seasonal information we use to make choices in clothing, activities, and transportation!

Explore how people make clothing choices using knowledge of seasonal changes.

This worksheet set is an excellent resource to partner with our Seasons, Weather and our Choices Interactive Activity. It includes a variety of activity types to keep students engaged and actively learning, such as:

  • Yes or No questions
  • Cut and paste to sort the choices into their corresponding seasons
  • Open-ended prompts for students to draw and write about what they think are suitable choices for each of the four seasons.

An answer key is included with your download to make marking fast and easy!

Tips for Differentiation + Scaffolding

In addition to individual student work time, use this worksheet as a:

  • Small group learning in English lessons, to tie in with your Science learning
  • homework assignment
  • whole-class review (via smartboard) after working through a seasons teaching presentation.

Students who require an extra challenge could be directed to ‘turn and talk’ to a partner about why they made each of their choices.

Students who need extra support may benefit from more scaffolded support, sitting with a teacher or aide, and being supplied a seasons reference chart.
