Reading and Writing Double Digit Numbers
Here are some more ways that you can help your students read and write double-digit numbers:
- Introduce the concept of a place value chart using the tens and ones.
- Use visual aids like base-ten blocks or drawings to show the concept of tens and ones.
- Read double-digit numbers aloud to the child and emphasise the place value.
- Have students practise writing double digit numbers on paper about how the tens place is first followed by the digit in the ones place.
- Play some place value bingo with double-digit numbers.
