Read & Sort to Identify Learned Behaviours and Instincts

Designed with the Year 5-6 curriculum in mind, our sorting activity seamlessly blends into your classroom life science lessons. This printable resource included 24 scenario cards depicting an instinct or a learned animal behaviour. Students will read each scenario and sort them onto the correct sorting mat to demonstrate understanding.

Students are prompted to think critically about the origins of behaviours by evaluating and sorting scenarios, encouraging them to closely analyse and discuss each scenario with peers.
