Print-Ready Christmas Activities for Early Years

Get ready to roll out your early years Christmas centres with printable activities from Teach Starter. This resource will present your students with a memory-matching activity to help them identify Christmas words and their beginning sounds.

In this hands-on matching activity, students will identify 30 Christmas objects, each offering an opportunity to discuss and match those items with another card showing the letter sound at the beginning of each word.

To play, students lay out all cards face-down. They will then flip over two cards, trying to find a card and picture with matching beginning sounds. Correctly matching cards are kept to the side. In the end, the student with the most matching cards wins.

Through this activity, students can build vocabulary and letter-sound recognition.
