Citizenship is a large part of what students learn in school and how they act in the community. Being a good citizen benefits your community, country, and fellow citizens. Helping others, respecting the law, and being responsible are just some characteristics of being a good citizen.

Students will match the following good citizenship vocabulary terms:

  • compassion
  • dedication
  • acceptance
  • dependable
  • responsible
  • sincere
  • kindness
  • thoughtful
  • patience
  • honesty
  • courage
  • respectful

This is a matching activity that allows your students to identify characteristics of good citizenship and match each trait with the correct behavior description. A set of directions, 12 pairs of matching cards, and an answer key are included for you.
