Cut and paste to complete the number lines with a set of differentiated number line worksheets.

Differentiated Cut and Paste Number Line Worksheet

Practice skip counting and determining the count with this set of hands-on, differentiated number line worksheets.

This activity will have students completing ascending number lines with increments of:

  • ones
  • twos
  • fives 
  • tens

We have differentiated this one for your varying student needs. There are three versions included, marked with stars depicting skill level: 

★ Level 1 – This level only counts by 1,2,5, and 10 for numbers up to twenty.

★★ Level 2 – This level counts by 1,2,5, and 10 for two digit numbers up to 100.

★★★ Level 3 – This level counts by 1, 2, 5, and 10 for two-and-three-digit numbers up to 120.

Students cut out the missing numbers from the bottom of the page and paste them into the correct positions on the number lines above.

An answer key is included with your download to make grading fast and easy!

Tips for Differentiation + Scaffolding  

In addition to individual student work time, use this worksheet as a:

On the back of the worksheet, challenge more-capable students to create additional number lines with missing increments. Have them swap with a partner and complete the new number lines.

Students who need extra support can be given completed number lines for reference.
