Landform Lessons for Kindergarten
Identifying landforms is an essential educational concept that every student should practice. Looking at maps and watching slideshows is great, but young learners need to get their hands on materials to really internalize the content. This landform sorting activity was designed to help students practice identifying objects that are or are not landforms using pictures Your Social Studies and geography lessons are sure to be rigorous when using this resource.
To use, students will lay out the two heading cards. They will then sort the images depending on whether the image shown is a natural landform or is not a natural landform. Some landform examples included in this product are

To provide an extra challenge,
- Provide opportunities for students to draw, write, and discuss the different landforms they have seen in the images.
- Assist struggling students with the tasks by providing notes, anchor charts, or individual assistance as needed.
