The sums across the pages of the resource gradually increase in total.

  • Pages 1–3, sums up to 25
  • Pages 4–5, sums up to 50
  • Pages 6–10, sums with totals between 25 and 100

Provide students with appropriate pages that match their ability levels. Encourage students to use their favorite mental addition strategy to solve the problems.

Turn this teaching resource into a sustainable activity by printing on cardstock and slipping it into a dry-erase sleeve. Students can record their answers with a whiteboard marker, then erase and reuse them.
