A fun way for students to practice representing multiplication in a variety of ways
Use this hands-on activity when exploring different ways to represent multiplication.
In this activity, students create a multiplication word problem, then represent it using repeated addition, an array, equal groups, jumps on a number line, and a multiplication number sentence.
We have included the foldout template on tabloid for you print on the larger size, giving students more space to write. Use the drop-down menu to choose this download.
This activity works well when used in math centers during your multiplication unit.
