A fun, hands-on activity to practice matching uppercase and lowercase letters.

Use this teaching resource in the classroom when learning to identify all uppercase and lowercase letters.

This foundational language activity is ideal to use in your reading small groups or as a reading center activity.

  • Print this resource on cardstock to ensure durability.
  • Cut along the dotted lines to create small activity cards.
  • Provide your students with the cards and a bucket of clothespins.
  • Students are to identify the uppercase letter and clip a clothespin on the matching lowercase letter. It’s a fun way to work on those fine motor skills while we are at it!

My 3 year old loves these. We do fine motor skills activity and letter recognition with him pinning the correct lowercase letter, tracing of the upper case, and word making. I certainly recommend this resource. It's one that my son asks to do, not me having to ask him!
