Create and display a diorama of a landform with our landform project planning and creation templates.
Landform Lessons for Primary Grades
Identifying landforms is an essential educational concept that every student should practice. Looking at maps and watching slideshows is great, but young learners need to get their hands on materials to really internalize the content. This landform project was designed to help students demonstrate what they know about a landform of their choice. Your Social Studies and geography lessons are sure to be rigorous when using this resource.
To use, students will select a landform to research and/or make a model of. They will then use our graphic organizers to plan and guide their project to its completion. This project can be completed in one of two ways.
- Option 1 – Complete the project as a traditional shoebox diorama project. Have students complete the planning tasks, then bring in a shoebox to create their landform project in.
- Option 2 – Complete the project as a paper-based diorama using the Alternate Diorama Template. Students will need 3 copies of the alternate template each.

To provide an extra challenge,
