A worksheet asking students to identify potential female gender stereotypes in popular movies and texts.

Use this teaching resource to promote awareness and improve the ability to identify female gender stereotypes portrayed in the media and when teaching about Women’s History Month.

Students choose a female character from a movie or a piece of text, then list the character’s attributes and identify any gender stereotypes. Finally, students redesign the character with different attributes that challenge the identified stereotypes.

This worksheet is designed to be used in conjunction with the Female Gender Stereotypes Fact Sheet.
