Have a bit of fall fun identifying parts of speech by sorting fall-themed nouns, verbs, and adjectives with a cut and paste worksheet.

🎃 Fall for These Cut and Paste Worksheets for Grammar Review

Fall is a season of change. It’s the time when the leaves drop off of the trees and fall to the ground, where they turn brown and crunch under our feet. It’s a time of transition—from summer’s heat and sunshine to winter’s snow and darkness.

The autumn winds are sharp with chill, but they also bring a sense of anticipation for the holidays just around the corner. There’s no doubt that kids LOVE all things fall-related, so why not bring a bit of pumpkin spice into your grammar lessons before winter sets in.

With this resource, students independently identify the nouns, verbs, and adjectives, then cut, sort, and glue each autumn word into its correct part of speech category. The worksheets included contain two versions of the same activity, described as follows.

  • Version 1 has students cutting, sorting, and gluing nouns, verbs, and adjectives into their labeled part of speech categories. These are perfect for your grade-level readers and writers.
  • Version 2 is the same concept but differentiated for your struggling readers and ESL/ELL students. This version of the resource provides students with visual cues to help with decoding each word.

Grab these Fall activities and help your students better understand the three parts of speech.
