Test your students' knowledge at the end of a lesson with this exit ticket template.
📝 Exit Tickets: Checking for Understanding
As a formative assessment tool, exit tickets provide teachers with a means to measure how well their students comprehend the material they are learning in class. This tool can be used daily or weekly, depending on the unit being taught. When the exit ticket is well-written, you can see whether students have a superficial or in-depth understanding of the material. Teachers can then use this data to adapt instruction to meet students’ needs the following day.
This particular exit ticket has students writing a one-sentence summary of the lesson, allowing you to see what information they are walking away with. Then, you will be able to use this information to determine whether the concept needs to be retaught or if it is alright to proceed to the next lesson as planned.
