🖍️ Division Color by Number

Are you looking for a math activity for your students to complete that focuses on long division? This color-by-number activity will help your students sharpen their computation skills while having fun!

With this activity, students will solve 28 problems where they are required to solve a long division problem or determine the missing divisor. Students will then use the color key to color in the grid to reveal a mystery picture! Distribute a blank grid and double-sided question page to each student to complete this activity.

An answer key is included with your download to make grading fast and easy!

Tips for Differentiation + Scaffolding

In addition to independent student work time, use this worksheet as an activity for:

  • Guided math groups
  • Lesson warm-up
  • Lesson wrap-up
  • Early finishers

For students who need a bit of a challenge, modify the numbers to create more challenging equations. Students can also attempt to create their own mystery image.

If there are students who require additional support, encourage them to create skip-counting lines with each divisor. This will help the student determine how many times the divisor can go into a particular number.
