Are your students working on adding and subtracting decimals? If so, this skill can be used to determine and complete various decimal patterns. Teach Starter has created a set of unique, differentiated worksheets to use in your classroom! This worksheet set has 3 different levels, each marked with stars on either side of the title.
To complete this activity, students must match each question on the left (marked with a number) to each solution on the right (marked with a letter). Use these matching letters and numbers to fill in the answer to the math joke at the bottom of the page.
An answer key is included with your download to make grading fast and easy!
Tips for Differentiation + Scaffolding
In addition to independent student work time, use this worksheet as an activity for:

If there are students who need a challenge, make a “Which One Doesn’t Belong Challenge.” Have students create 4 numerical sequences for the same pattern, 3 correct and 1 incorrect. Then, they can trade with a classmate and determine which sequence is incorrect.
For students who need a bit of support, work one-on-one or in a small group, allow calculator use, or modify the numbers for complexity level (level 1 indicated by 1 star next to the title should be used with students struggling with the concept).

Turn this teaching resource into a sustainable activity by printing on cardstock and slipping it into a dry-erase sleeve. Students can record their answers with a whiteboard marker, then erase and reuse them.
Additionally, project the worksheet onto a screen and work through it as a class by having students record their answers in their notebooks.
