Precipitation, Evaporation, Condensation – Let’s Sort!

This cut-and-paste resource is designed to deepen your students’ understanding of evaporation, condensation, and precipitation by sorting and categorizing everyday examples into the appropriate stages of the water cycle.

Here are some of the everyday examples used in this worksheet:

  • Precipitation – rain, hail, and snow.
  • Evaporation – clothes drying on the line, paint drying, ice melting.
  • Condensation – soft drink can ‘sweat’ outside, outside of water bottle has droplets of water, foggy glass shower door.

An answer key is included with your download to make grading fast and easy!
