Comparing Numbers Board Game

Are you looking for a fun comparing numbers activity and game for 1st graders? This math game will have students spinning, comparing, and moving their game pieces along the game board while practicing math skills.

To play this game, the first player will move one square forward. The player writes the number on the left side of the math mat. Choose a number card and place it on the right side of the math mat. Spin to choose greater than or less than. Write the symbol in the circle on the math mat. The player compares the number on the board with the number on their card. If the greater than or less than symbol correctly compares the 2 numbers, the player moves forward 3 spaces. If it incorrectly compares the numbers, the player moves forward 1 space. Play continues until the first player reaches the finish line.

Through this printable math game for 1st grade, students will show they can use their knowledge of place value to compare 2 two-digit numbers.
