English is a fascinating language, but it can be extremely challenging to learn due to its wild spelling rules and exceptions. However, with the help of this slide deck, your students will be able to master some of the most important and common spelling rules in English.

English Spelling Rules Teaching Presentation

In this slide show, your students are taken through a series of interactive slides that will introduce them to different spelling rules in English. Each slide contains examples of words that follow the rule as well as words that break the rule. By the end of this presentation, they will have a better understanding of some of the most important spelling rules in English and be able to apply them in their writing and communication.

This teaching presentation covers the following common spelling rules:

  • Soft ‘c’
  • Soft ‘g’
  • Magic ‘e’
  • Words Ending in ‘ay’
  • ‘q’ is Followed by ‘u’
  • Adding ‘-ing’ to Words Ending in Silent ‘e’
