Use this brainstorming template to practice using the sound device alliteration.
Use this resource when teaching your students the different sound devices used in poetry.
Print out the template and place it inside a dry-erase sleeve for students to practice using alliteration in their writing. Alternatively, project the template on your dry-erase board and use it with your whole class when teaching about alliteration. Students will select a letter or sound to use in their alliteration. Then, they will brainstorm a list of words beginning with the chosen letter or sound. Finally, they will use as many words as possible from step 2 to create their alliterative sentence.
This resource is great for reading small groups and as a reading center activity.
