Use this teaching resource when students are learning to count and use one-to-one correspondence. Alternatively it can be used when learning to subitize numbers.
This alien themed counting game encourages children to identify the numbers 1 to 6 and develop their counting skills.
To play the game:
- Provide each child with a spaceship and set of alien cards.
- Roll a die, identify the number, then count out the matching number of aliens.
- Place the correct number of aliens into the spaceship.
- For a challenge at the end, count the total number of aliens in the spaceship.
