Build some ‘llama-zing’ vocabulary skills using a fun llama-themed self-checking activity with synonyms!

Looking for “Llama-Zing” Activities on Synonyms

Add a little llama love to your grammar and writing lessons with a fun, new Synonyms interactive game. Synonyms are essential for kids because they help them expand their vocabulary and improve their language skills. Knowing synonyms allows kids to use different words to express themselves and understand and communicate with others more effectively. This self-checking activity is the perfect way to engage your students and build their vocabularies to help them become llama-zing readers and writers.

Have Fun & Learn With A Self-Checking Synonym Activity

This activity requires students to

  • Read sentences and determine the meaning of the underlined word.
  • Identify a synonym for the underlined word.

To play, students will click on the synonym that matches the word shown in a highlighted phrase on the slide. They will be taken to a screen showing if they are correct or need to return and try again. All the slides have been properly linked to make this a self-checking activity for your students.

By practising this skill in an engaging way, students can strengthen their ability to identify and use synonyms when speaking, reading, and writing.
