Printable Number Line Worksheets for Early Years

In the world of mathematics, number sense is a fundamental skill that lays the foundation for future learning. As such, primary-grade students must develop a strong number sense, and one effective tool for achieving this is using number lines. Number lines offer numerous benefits for young learners, giving them a visual representation of numbers and helping them develop essential skills like counting, comparing, and ordering numbers.

We’ve been busy putting together the perfect resources to help you teach your year one and year two students about locating numbers on a number line. Starting with a simple, easy-to-use matching activity.

Locating Numbers to 100 on a Number Line

This fun and engaging game consists of a set of colourful space-themed number cards and a corresponding number line to which children can match the numbers. It is a great way to teach them to identify, compare and order numbers in a fun and interactive way.

This activity is simple to use and can be enjoyed by kids of varying learning levels. Simply print out the cards and the number line, cut them out, and mix up the cards. Then, have your students match each card with its corresponding location on the number line.
