A set of 28 playdough activity cards.
Use this teaching resource to extend your students’ phonic and word knowledge. Each card provides instruction for the student to make an object out of play dough. However, the instructions are open-ended, exploring the following concepts:
- short vowel sounds
- initial consonants
- rhyming words
- syllables.
When reading the clues, ensure that they are read using the phoneme sound rather than the alphabet-name of the sound.
Improve your students’ fine motor skills at the same time as reinforcing their word knowledge.
Adhere the cards to thick cardboard for durability.
