How to Write a personalised Acknowledgement of Country with Your Students

Little students can sometimes miss out on the significance of NAIDOC Week

Help them see that they can make a difference! Help them with their understanding by completing this NAIDOC Week Acknowledgement of Country activity with your class.

This engaging and meaningful activity steps your students through:

  • brainstorming what is in an Acknowledgement of Country.
  • researching your local Country, including local flora and fauna.
  • personalising your own Acknowledgment of Country by paying respects to your local Elders.

There is also a blank page available for students to try writing their own Acknowledgment of Country by themselves!
