Everyone Belongs and Fits Together – Harmony Day Craft

This craft template has been created specifically for Harmony Day celebrations within schools. Students are provided with a person shape and are encouraged to write their own definition of harmony and draw a picture of themselves in the circle. Once completed, these shapes will fit perfectly together around one to create a gorgeous display for the classroom or administration area of your school.

This download includes:

  • Tesselation person shape template
  • Letters to create a display heading with ‘Everyone Belongs’

You might even like to hand out the letters and shapes that will be used to complete the display and have your students decorate each of the letters to really add their own touches to this Harmony Day display for the classroom.

✂️ Give Them the (Safety) Scissors

This template makes for a bonus cutting skills activity, depending on your students’ ages and abilities.

With adult supervision, cutting skills help students work for multiple muscle groups and their brains, plus:

  • strengthen finger and hand muscles
  • build dexterity and fine motor skills
  • improve hand-eye coordination
  • develop focus and attention.

And all of these skills are necessary to use a pencil and a fork; button a shirt and tie shoes; write, type and swipe.

Scissor skills are brain and muscle skills!

What colour do you wear on Harmony Day?

Encourage your students to come to school in the chosen colour of orange for Harmony Day. Traditionally, orange signifies social communication and meaningful conversations.

Hello. I find when I print this resource out the whole background is printed black. It is not just an outline of the letters. Can you help me?
