Convert Fractions, Decimals and Percentages with a Bingo Game!

If you’re looking for a fun, whole-class game to get your students converting between common fractions, decimals and percentages (with just a dash of healthy competition thrown into the mix as well!), then look no further than Teach Starter’s fractions, decimals and percentages Bingo game!

Each Bingo game board features a combination of fractions, decimals and percentages in numerical and visual form. The resource also contains 27 calling cards. To play, the caller (usually the teacher) will show one of the calling cards to the class. If the student has a corresponding fraction, decimal or percentage to the calling card on their Bingo game board, they cover it with a counter. The first student to create a vertical row of five squares is the winner!

This maths Bingo game downloads as a full-colour printable PDF or an editable Google Slides file.

So what are you waiting for? Grab a set of counters, our Bingo game boards and calling cards, and your students, and start playing fractions, percentages and decimals Bingo today!

Benefits of Playing This Maths Game in Your Classroom

Integrating games like Bingo into the classroom setting can offer several benefits to students, both academically and socially. Here are our Top 5:

  1. Engagement and Motivation – Games like Bingo are inherently enjoyable and can captivate students’ interest. The element of competition and the chance to win can motivate students to actively participate in learning activities.
  2. Active Participation – Games promote active learning as students must engage with the content to play and win. This hands-on approach helps reinforce the material more effectively than passive learning methods.
  3. Memory Enhancement – Repeated exposure to information through games helps strengthen memory retention. By associating facts or concepts with the fun and excitement of gameplay, students are more likely to remember and recall the material later on.
  4. Immediate Feedback – Games like Bingo often provide instant feedback. Students can quickly assess their understanding of the material based on their success in the game, allowing for timely correction and clarification of any misconceptions.
  5. Stress Reduction – Games create a low-stakes environment where students can learn and practice without the fear of failure. This can help reduce anxiety and create a more relaxed atmosphere conducive to learning.

Can the bingo cards please be made in an even array for example 4x4 so they can get bingo horizontally, digaonally or vertically?
