Food Chain vs. Food Web

Are your students learning how to describe the flow of energy through food chains and food webs? Are they learning to predict how changes in an ecosystem affect a food chain or web? With this Food Webs vs. Food Chains presentation, students will not only learn about the flow of energy between organisms but also have opportunities to create their own chains and webs. Students will learn how food chains and webs work together to maintain balance and biodiversity.

Through this activity, students will identify and describe the flow of energy in a food chain and food web. Students will also predict how changes in a food chain affect the ecosystem, such as the removal of foxes from a forest.
