Learn Opposites with Differentiated Antonym Puzzles for Kids

Have you heard about Tarsia puzzles?! They’re like jigsaw puzzles but way more exciting! Here are a few tarsia puzzle tips!

  • A Tarsia puzzle is a jigsaw puzzle used in education to help students understand related concepts.
  • It consists of pieces with a shape and pattern that can be combined to form a larger shape or pattern.
  • Tarsia puzzles often include equations, diagrams, or vocabulary-type activities.
  • Tarsia puzzles are used to reinforce understanding and promote problem-solving skills in a fun and interactive way.

Tap into Vocabulary With Tarsia Puzzles

Use this resource as a fun, engaging replacement activity for those run-of-the-mill opposites worksheets. Print each student a single copy and set them to work expanding their vocabulary skills. Students are required to cut the polygons out. They are jumbled up, so they must assemble the puzzle by looking at the words and then placing the corresponding antonym next to them.

Students will paste their completed puzzle on the included answer sheet.

An answer sheet is also provided.
