If you have a mixture of above and below-level learners, we have a few suggestions for keeping students on track with these concepts:

🆘 Support Struggling Students

  • Complete the activity in small groups or with 1:1 aid support as needed.
  • Allow students to use an abbreviations anchor chart or reference guide during the completion of the activity.

➕ Challenge Fast Finishers

  • Challenge fast finishers to use abbreviations in sentences of their own.
  • Provide enrichment and additional practice with an abbreviations board game, card game, or worksheet.

🧑‍🏫 Group Learning
