What do you think of when I say 3-D objects around the Christmas?

You probably think of cubes and rectangular prisms as gifts under a Christmas tree! But this resource presents opportunities for students to work with a range of 3D object nets. The twist is that the nets form a variety of Christmas objects such as presents, a Santa, a reindeer, a candle and a Christmas tree.

The 3D object nets include:

  • cube
  • rectangular prism
  • cone
  • cylinder
  • triangular-based pyramid
  • square-based pyramid.

The completed 3-D objects can be displayed around the classroom, hung from students’ desks, or attach a loop to each object and hang them from your class Christmas tree as ornaments!
