Anti-Bullying Role Play Strategies Explored Through Drama

Help your students self-advocate and effectively communicate with their peers by exploring bullying scenarios through roleplay with anti-bullying teacher resources created by teachers for teachers like you!

This set of 8 task cards is available in a Google Slides template format and printable PDF to help your students understand and cope with different types of bullying.

Each card in the set guides students through common bullying situations with role play and communication. The resource includes a set of dramatic prompts that can be used to initiate discussions and encourage students to act out different situations.

The resource includes eight different bullying scenarios that students can explore through role play. The scenarios cover:

  1. Physical Bullying
  2. Cyberbullying
  3. Verbal Bullying
  4. Social Bullying (exclusion)
  5. Bullying Bystander

Each scenario card includes a scene-setting introduction, a brief scenario description, and a discussion question that can be used to initiate group discussion. The prompts are designed to encourage students to think critically about the situation and consider the feelings of everyone involved. Build field knowledge with our Resilience Tool Kit Poster before commencing your roleplay lesson.

Hi. Bullying & resilience is a great resource that I use with my Year 4 students each year. Is there any written assessment sheets or rubrics that are already developed that I could use and align with ACARA?

Hi there Mark, thank you for your comment. We don’t currently provide rubrics for our units. As I’m sure you would understand, all schools are extremely different in the manner in which student understanding is assessed, recorded and reported and we cannot possibly create a rubric that would suit everyone. We do have a comprehensive set of assessment trackers linked to the Australian Curriculum which can be used to monitor student progress. These can be found here: https://www.teachstarter.com/teaching-resource-collection/australian-curriculum-assessment-trackers/ If there is anything else I can assist you with, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
